I want to imagine that the KPA management must have given consideration to why this second container terminal should be constructed. It must have considered that it has a lot of benefits to Kenya. It goes without saying that the contribution made by the Constituencies Development Committees, even before the amendments we made to conform to the Constitution, is realised by everybody. view

It is important for Members to remember that the Government trains police officers for nine months before deploying them to serve but some officers still discharge ammunitions recklessly, hurting and even killing people. view

Temporary Deputy Chairlady, if a police officer is trained for one year, as I have just been informed, but we still find cases of discharge of ammunitions due to carelessness by some officers, imagine a person who has been trained for one week. I know there are several companies owned by the Government under the State Corporations Act. However, I want to speak to three that are actively operating in my Samburu East Constituency and by extension, Samburu County. These are the KP, REA and KETRACO. • 9 Mar 2016 in National Assembly: I register my appreciation to the fact that KP has extended a power line on the national grid from Isiolo through Archers Post to Wamba. I am happy the lines have been connected to electricity and the County Government of Samburu is planning to install streetlights in Wamba and Archers Post, which are major trading centers in the constituency. This is certainly going to boost economic activities in the areas. My concern is that KP has distributed very few transformers to the extent that many institutions and residents in the area covered by the national grid are not benefitting from ... view
