  • 2 Dec 2010 in National Assembly: He should take my information because the people are already suffering. So he has no reason to reject my information. One, the child who was burnt is hospitalized in Nanyuki Hospital. He is not dead. This was caused by the police torching the houses. Two, this is a photocopy of the original document which is being held by the lawyers. If you read through, you will see that it has a letterhead and it is signed by the Registrar of the High Court. So how can he deny that? view
  • 1 Dec 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Roads:- (a) what plans the Minister has to construct a bridge at lower Seiya River on E473 Road; and, (b) whether he could consider undertaking the project in the 2010/2011 Financial Year. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to bring it to the attention of the Chair that I have not been supplied with a written answer. view
  • 1 Dec 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am ready to proceed! view
  • 1 Dec 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is important for the Minister to understand that in May 2010, we lost seven people who drowned as they tried to cross that flooded river. Three locations in that area have been cut off because the river is inaccessible, particularly when it rains. If we are losing people every other time when it rains because of the flooded river, what is the purpose of constructing a drift that is not going to assist the people? Why does he not consider getting funds to do the bridge across that river? view
  • 1 Dec 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, now that the Minister has allocated Kshs12 million for the construction of a drift, when is the project going to be started? view
  • 1 Dec 2010 in National Assembly: Yes, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. view
  • 1 Dec 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister explain the criteria he uses to distribute these ambulances to the hospitals? view
  • 24 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to ask the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security the following Question by Private Notice. (a) Is the Minister aware that on 14th September, 2010, police officers from Wamba Police Station assaulted one Mr. Leakono at Nkaroni Village, locked him up and released him after three days without pressing any charges against him, and that on 19th September, 2010, two Administration Police officers based at Lodungokwa view
  • 24 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I agree with the Assistant Minister on his answer to part (a) of the Question that police arrested Mr. Leakolo and upon investigations, they did not recover any firearms, and he was released. That was quite in order, because police are supposed to carry out investigations, and when they find that you have not done anything wrong, you are released. On that one, I agree with him. My concern is about Katal Yokooro. This is a man who is disabled to the extent that part of his right hand side is paralysed. I managed to visit this ... view
  • 24 Nov 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wanted to know about the condition of the patient because he is undergoing what doctors call “skin grafting”. I would like to know what offence Katal Yokooro committed to deserve that kind of cruel punishment by the Police. view
