because when you have the representative of the CoG in each and every national institution, then we are losing the line between devolved governments and the national Government. I support and second. Thank you, hon. Speaker.

Thank you, hon. Speaker. At the outset, I wish to state that I totally identify with his submissions. I believe it is very important that we domesticate the Water Tower Protocol. When you look at what is happening in Kenya now like what was happening in other parts of the world some few years ago, there is a possibility that these kinds of mines can be introduced in this country to the great detriment of Kenyan lives and property. It is important we safeguard ourselves, give our Cabinet Secretaries (CSs) power and ensure that our people are safe. As my ...

Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. I also would like to thank the President and to record my support for the Speech that he gave to this esteemed House. In fact, the President should be lauded for what he has done in the last two years. When you look at the economy, when we are number nine in Africa as the largest economy, and when we are number three as far as progress in the economy is concerned in the world, then we must really be proud of him. It is very important that security is being addressed because that has ...

at afresh. In essence, all we are saying is that the EACC must be removed. Let other people take its place. More than anything else, the President said that he has drawn the line. He has drawn the line and nobody should stand between Kenyan and what is right in the fight against corruption and other matters of economic crimes. I support him. Thank you

Thank you, hon. Speaker. I also wish to join my colleagues in conveying my condolences and those of the people of Narok North, to the people of Kabete for losing their Member of Parliament. I also wish to remember the people of Narok for losing a young man by the name Lakape. It is unfortunate that people can just be killed like that in our country. I think it is important that security agencies take these issues seriously. This is because of late we have had what I can call misuse of power and authority, as has been seen in ...

Hon. Deputy Speaker, I want to comment on the issue of security. I would like to call upon all Kenyans to know all the time that this is their country and they must make sure that we are safe and that they follow the laws. We should defend ourselves from internal and external aggression because if we do not do that, then we will have no future and no country. We have seen countries going to the dogs. We must use all the resources available to ensure that our country do not go that way.

I would like to send a message of condolence to the families who have lost their loved ones. The worst part is that we are losing innocent people who are not combatants. I believe it is our duty to look at these laws. Even though they might actually offend the Constitution, we must sieve through them and ensure that what we pass is constitutional, but must also be firm, especially when it comes to terrorism. Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker.
