• 22 Nov 2016 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, I am actually being very diplomatic. The Departmental Committee on Defence and Foreign Relations seems to have a problem where reports have been completed because the information they may have is not be very good. It includes misuse of public funds and cases where people who were supposed to be retired are still working and many of them are doing all sorts of things. That is why some of us in the Committee believe that the report is not being tabled on the Floor of the House. view

If you look at the way we treat Kenyans who are working in those kinds of jobs, as a society, we have not been very sensitive to their needs and wishes. Like my colleagues have said, you will find that the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) deductions are not remitted. You will find that those individuals are not even given sick or leave days. Richard Makenga ambaye alikuwa mbele yangu katika orodha, lakini amenikubalia nizungumze kwa sababu nina mahali ambapo nahitajika baada ya dakika 15. Pia, ningependa kutoa asante zangu kwa Mbunge mwenzangu Mhe. Omar Mwinyi kwa sababu Hoja hii ni ya heshima sana. Mambo tunayoyazungumzia ni yale ambayo hayawahusu wananchi ambao hawajiwezi. • 19 Oct 2016 in National Assembly: Ahsante. Nitaharakisha ili nimalize. Lazima tuhakikishe kuwa wale wafanyikazi wa Serikali wanatoa hati hiyo kwa wananchi wa kawaida bila kutoa pesa. Lazima tuhakikishe kuwa polisi hawatawaitisha pesa wananchi wakati hati inatolewa. Madaktari pia katika mahospitali wasiitishe mwananchi wa kawaida pesa wakati wanaenda kupimwa ili hati iandikwe . Kwa hivyo, ningependa kumalizia kwa kumwomba ndugu yangu Mwinyi alete Mswada ili iwe sheria ya Kenya. • 13 Oct 2016 in National Assembly: Asante Mhe. Spika. Ninakumbuka tulilizungumzia jambo hili la mishahara ya Wabunge ambao walikuwa katika Bunge hili hapo awali mwaka wa 2012. Wakati ule, tuligundua Wakenya wanadhani Wabunge wanapewa hela nyingi zaidi na haziambatani na hela ambazo wananchi wengine wanapata. Ningependa kusihi Bunge hili kuwa vile wenzangu wamezungumza, na ukiangalia mwaka ujao, utaona kwamba asilimia 80 ya Wabunge ambao wako hapa hawatarudi. Huo ndio muongozo ambao tunaona kila mwaka. Asilimia 80 au 75 ya wale Wabunge wanachaguliwa hawarudi hapa. Jambo muhimu ni kuwa ukiwaangalia wazee na akina mama ambao walikuwa Wabunge katika hili Bunge, utaona kwamba wana shida sana. What I was trying to say is that because the matter of the Kshs10 billion and Kshs25 Billion is in court, it would have made sense for him not to discuss it. Finally, on the Reports which are coming to the House, like the Report on the CDF, it will make sense for the Committee Chairman to make use of the facilities you provided them so that everything comes online in soft copy. I want to thank this House and Parliament for allowing primary school children to come here to observe our performance. I am extremely excited because my daughter, who happens to be at Riara Primary School, is here with her classmates.
