  • 12 Feb 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Ngunjiri, you know what happened in Nakuru and you wanted the support of Nakuru and you were part of it. Let us just keep quiet and continue. We want to rectify a problem. We should not let a problem continue. If we continue having vigilante groups like the one in Kisii--- The other day when they were campaigning, you remember what happened. view
  • 12 Feb 2014 in National Assembly: A prominent leader had to organize Chinkororo against another guy who were coming in a helicopter with the current Deputy President. • 12 Feb 2014 in National Assembly: things here--- Let us own up and say sorry to God for what we have done to this Republic. We should not accept it. I was part of it; if you say: ni mambo ya kutafuta ng’ombe---, We used to do that because it was mboga ya watoto and nothing much.” Hon. Speaker, Kenyans are now together, especially the common man. But the problem is the leadership and this one is coming from the security side. Somebody talked about the Kriegler Report. view
  • 12 Feb 2014 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, you will recall what Ocampo said the other day. Kriegler was part of the team of diplomats who were trying to induce Ocampo to block the two guys who now occupy the two top leadership positions of this country. We should not go their way. We are Kenyans. We can also do it our way. We can make our own peace and lead our people to prosperity. view

  • 3 Dec 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, I support the amendment raised by the hon. Member there. I come from an area where monkeys and honey bergers are in plenty. The honey berger is a very dangerous animal. It is always ready to wrestle somebody especially when you want to chase it from the area you are harvesting honey. Some people have lost life as a result of being attacked by honey bergers. I support. view
  • 3 Dec 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I just want to thank the Committee because they have come a long way and supported this, especially the communities that are most of the time living in danger because of these animals. I come from West Pokot and we have these animals. I think this is the first time in history where we are thanking God for this Bill. I want to thank the Committee Members and even the secretariat as the hon. Chair has said because these are the people who are there to ensure that their country is well taken care ... view
  • 28 Nov 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary, Deputy Speaker. I rise to support this amendment because I know it will be this House that will save the face of Kenya. There are so many historical injustices but we cannot work on them individually or the community it affects alone. This is a unifying House where all elected here, are for the interest of Kenyans, although we come from different communities. Our common interest is to put Kenya in unity, peace and love, so that we can progress. This is a reconciliation issue where we address injustices that happened during the colonial time and ... view

I was not there in the 1980s and 1990s when multiparty was coming up and when people were fighting for independence, but now I am being mentioned. I am a number one Christian. Anyway, we will get to a time when we will discuss it. Mine is just to appeal to this House that let us be united, it is in this place that we will bring Kenya to the level that will be desired by many other people. Otherwise we should not divide ourselves here and utter these small things. Thank you, hon. ... view
  • 20 Nov 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I also rise to support the Report as amended. Some of us have known Mututho for a long time. We have also seen what he has done. As some hon. Members said, this could be like encouraging others to do what hon. Mututho has done. His work is now rewarding him. It is not that we are putting him in that position because of the name “Mututho” but rather because of what he has done. This is a challenge to all of us. Even if he is given the opportunity to ... view
