Kama tunavyojua, Wakenya wengi hawajasoma kamili. Ikiwa tutaweza kutafsiri sheria zetu kwa Kiswahili, itakuwa ni jambo la maana kwa sababu watapata kuelewa haki zao. Wengi hawaelewi haki zao kwa sasa hususan wale ambao wanapatikana katika hali ya kisheria kama kortini, jelani na sehemu ambazo zinawaletea shida kwa kutojua haki zao za kisheria. Kwa hivyo, naunga mkono Hoja hii. Ni muhimu Serikali iitilie maanani na ihakikishe hizi sheria zimetafsiriwa ili watu waelewe haki zao kikamilifu na wasipate--- view

I want to take this opportunity to thank the President and congratulate him for the Speech he gave touching on many issues, which are very crucial to Kenyans. I want to start with the corruption issue. Looking at this Report, it is kind of a very shallow report from the EACC. We are suffering and I want to give an example. As much as we want to increase the amount of electricity, we have to take care of our people. We need to think about how we are going to safeguard their lives and health. As you understand, Lamu has suffered big time. We have suffered because of insecurity and now we are suffering because of land. It is very unfair to mix insecurity and land issues. Land injustice did not start in 2011 or 2012 in Lamu. It started way back. view
• 5 Aug 2014 in National Assembly: If this Government is willing and is ready to address the land issues in Lamu, it should not do it selectively. Rather, it should do it wholesome. There is a lot of misleading information from the Cabinet Secretary. Lamu consists of 1,605,750 acres of land. If you remove 500,000 acres, that is 30 per cent and not 70 per cent.
