  • 30 Apr 2024 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to support this Bill. We all know that this House is in charge of devolution. Devolution is working. If we continue protecting it jealously, it will even work better for our people. There are some governors misappropriating funds. However, this should not be a reason for us to punish all governors because of one or two mistakes of individual governors. We are supposed oversight county governments. As we do so, we should identify loopholes, issues, challenges, and problems facing county assemblies. Since inauguration of the current Constitution, the budget ... view

  • 17 Apr 2024 in Senate: Asante, Bw. Spika.
  • 17 Apr 2024 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I will be very brief. My question to the Cabinet Secretary is, what will be the fate of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) staff after the disbandment of NHIF? She is saying they will be newly employed. Will they be paid their dues for the years they have been working? That part is silent from the Government. Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. view
  • 27 Mar 2024 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, my Question to the Cabinet Secretary is that there has been a power outage in Lamu for the last 10 months. This is due to the pylon, which was attacked, and it is causing many economic losses. Our health facilities are affected. Our dialysis machines and many other machines are damaged. Our fishing industry is very much affected. Our security is also affected. Could the Cabinet Secretary tell us when this pylon will be repaired, because It has taken 10 months and we have been suffering? We have written to the Directors and done a lot, ... view
  • 20 Mar 2024 in Senate: Asante, Bw.
