(a) What circumstances led to the death of Joyce Gakii, a Form 3 student of Makuri Girls’ High School in Maara District? (b) Could the Minister confirm whether there was negligence by the school administration, how long the girl was ill in school and how many times the Principal visited the girl in hospital? (c) Who reported the admission to hospital and subsequent death to the parents and who, from the school, attended the student’s funeral? view

This student tried to get permission to go to hospital and she was denied permission by the headteacher until a day when very many students were going to hospital; that was when she joined the others to go to hospital.
