It is unfortunate that we always get the same answer, that there is something that is being prepared, designs are being done or money is not available. Those are the usual answers that we get! Could the Assistant Minister give us an assurance, and the monitoring system that is in place to monitor the work? Will proper designs come out of that process? That will show us that they are serious to open up the region. view

Unfortunately, you can see how long it has taken from 1968 when the Government of this country developed a plan and ensured that it would be constructed and will have a railway line from Lamu passing through Ijara, through Garissa up to Moyale and then to Ethiopia.
