However, we now know that the Committee engaged in some exercise to find out a few things about the University of Eldoret. Would I be in order to request that you give a direction that we get a statement from the Cabinet Secretary because it is important?   • 11 Mar 2015 in Senate: No. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I sought a Statement from the Committee on Labour and Social Welfare on the issue of county pension schemes. The Statement was due on 19th February, 2015, but the Chairperson has not given any indication on how far he has gone. view

This is the first vetting of public officers that the Senate is doing. I want to take this opportunity to appreciate the process that has been developed between the two Houses. The issue of sub judice rule has adequately been discussed and precedence tabled before you. I would not want to repeat the issues raised by other Senators. We have discussed the issue of Article 110 of the Constitution and we want to agree that that is the responsibility of both Speakers and the leadership of this House have no role on that particular issue.
