I rise to seek a statement from the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Roads and Transportation concerning the Mau Narok-Ewaso Ng’iro-Mara Road. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is without doubt that 70 per cent of our country’s wheat comes from the Mau Narok area. It is also true that different food crops like potatoes, cotton, barley and maizet, among others, are produced in the Mau Narok area. What action has the Ministry taken to bring to book these selfish greedy officers? In several parks, you will find rhinos and elephants being killed. They are supposed to be protected by the KWS. What is the role of the KWS if it cannot protect our national heritage? view
