  • 27 Jun 2018 in National Assembly: they would find their way into their careers. Others would go to universities while others would go to other institutions and become professionals. I think it is not the intent of NYS… and that is why I support Hon. Muchira. We need to give priority to graduates from the NYS because when they go there, service is their priority, they do not go there for money. As one of the Members who spoke before said, we are people who are thinking disciplined forces is the only place that still employs and gives the assurance of a salary. So you have ... view
  • 3 May 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. This is a very wonderful time for me especially when dealing with forgiveness, unifying the country and preaching reconciliation. I support the President’s Speech. The President spoke about forgiveness. His speech was unifying. One of the major problems we have had in this country is exclusion: The feeling may be that other people are not part of the system. I will quote Apostle Paul in Ephesians 4:32. view
  • 3 May 2018 in National Assembly: Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another...” As a country irrespective of our tribe, religious affiliation and political inclinations, we are one as Kenyans. Our tribe is one as Kenya and there comes a time when our country is more important than personal interests. So, the President has set an example for all of us leaders that this handshake between him and the Right Hon. Raila Odinga should not just end on the steps of Harambee House. We should go into the villages, preach forgiveness and bring our people together irrespective of our political differences. We may sit ... view

  • 18 Apr 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I stand to support the Motion by Hon. Rose Museo on establishment of programmes and interventions to encourage uptake of counselling services. Being a bishop and having spent two years in the United States of America (USA) in a counselling school, I realise that we have many problems in our society. Those problems can be solved through professional counselling. As we move forward as a nation into a life of modernisation whereby we are now in a global village where people move from one area and country to another, we need to invest more ... view
  • 18 Apr 2018 in National Assembly: pastor began to put it into practice. He laid his hands on the woman. The hands moved from the head to the toes. It is a crime in our spiritual world and society because people do not understand how it is done. Therefore, this Motion is very important for us and our country. view
  • 18 Apr 2018 in National Assembly: We had a case whereby a young boy who was in high school committed suicide because the father was unable to pay school fees. Look at those two things. If we had a counselling opportunity, this boy would be counselled and another opportunity would have presented itself and he would have gone back to school. It is very important that we support counselling services and this Motion. People are in jail today. Some are in prison because they were not counselled in their situations of life. Some of the challenges that they underwent pushed them to commit the crimes. If ... view

  • 11 Apr 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I rise to support the Motion on the waiver of charges and establishment of an employment database. view
  • 11 Apr 2018 in National Assembly: The youth in the country form a huge part of our population, but most of them are not employed. We realise that employment is a challenge because opportunities for employment have shrunk. Most of our youths are out there looking for any available opportunity. In the recent past, we have seen many requirements for our young people to get an opportunity for just an interview or an opportunity to forward their names for vetting. That is not even a guarantee that they will get the position they are looking for. Most of our youths do not have any money. They ... view
