Like when he talks about the Departmental Committee on Transport, Public Works and Housing, it is true that some of them were bragging to us that they have been given projects worth Kshs50 million. When you look at it, they are using their expertise… I am sorry the Leader of the Majority Party who is before me here is emphasising on these shameful activities that are taking place within the committees and the ministries. We have to say this is not right and we must actually find this as corruption within the committees and the ministries ... view

  • 4 Mar 2020 in National Assembly: On a point of order. Hon. Speaker, I respect the Budget and Appropriations Committee. However, the Chairman is trying to impute improper motives that this matter has just come up after the Committee signed the Report. If today he has been called somewhere for a cup of tea and makes changes, then he has realised that it cannot be attained, then it is actually an exercise in futility for the Committee to be sitting with the Cabinet Secretary to analyse issues for the whole 14 days and then today you get a statement that is not going in tandem with ... view
