• 4 Mar 2020 in National Assembly: I have withdrawn, but I have realised that some of these Chairmen seem to be getting some instructions which are outside the Standing Orders of this House. Some of them are getting benefits. Some Committee Members, especially Chairmen are even gaining from the resources they appropriate. I want to thank the Departmental Committee on Defence and Foreign Relations for the work that it has done to find out exactly what it is that Kenya is ratifying. Kenya is one of those countries in Africa that are regarded to have gone ahead to implement most of the decisions that have earned this country a lot. The inquiry in question is limited to the leakage and misuse of official information that is contrary to Section 22 of the Leadership and Integrity Act and Section 16(e) of the Parliamentary Powers and Privileges Act. The matter in question is leakage of information. Whatever we are reading out there which was circulated by the media is not the basis of our inquiry. view
• 21 Nov 2019 in National Assembly: The Committee held 16 sittings or meetings to find out what really happened. The Committee got inside information. For anyone who has read the Report, the staffer confirmed and accepted that he gave the letter to Mheshimiwa Fatuma Gedi. We found this true. The staff confessed and accepted that he is the one who gave the letter to Mheshimiwa . I support this Report. All of us have confidential documents in this Parliament. If we allow these kinds of leakages to go out there, some of us know how dangerous it is. We have rivals out there who might use ... view
