  • 30 Sep 2014 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, on behalf of the Chairperson, I request that the House gives us two weeks to research and come up with the statement. view
  • 30 Sep 2014 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. view
  • 24 Sep 2014 in Senate: Mr. Speaker, Sir, it is disheartening and, indeed, unacceptable to hear that certain areas of this country may miss food because of the so- called “drought” when certain areas in the country have bumper harvests. Is the Chairperson aware that in Migori County, all the stores; one in Ntimaru, another one in Kehancha and another one in Awendo and another one in Migori town are full of harvests? There is nowhere for farmers to sell their last seasons’ harvest. view
  • 23 Sep 2014 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to give notice of the following Motion:- THAT, this House adopts the Report of Seventh African Evaluation Association Conference held in Yaounde, Cameroon from 3rd to 4th March, 2014. ADOPTION OF REPORT OF THE ANNUAL INVESTMENT MEETING HELD IN DUBAI view
  • 23 Sep 2014 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. With all due respect, listening to the Senator for Kakamega, and reading between the lines, he has thrown Migori County into bad repute, whereas this is a respectable county which appreciates the magnitude of mistakes that they may do and have the courtesy to apologize--- view
  • 23 Sep 2014 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, those are part of my duties as per the Constitution. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I request that you give Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale the earliest opportunity to table this information that he has such as the Governor for Migori sleeping on a bed of Kshs1.2 million. We need this information like yesterday. view
  • 23 Sep 2014 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. view
  • 23 Sep 2014 in National Assembly: Yes, and I will do it in a better way. view
  • 23 Sep 2014 in National Assembly: The tradition of this House is that if somebody apologizes then he must withdraw. Standing Order No.94 is very clear on the procedure to be followed if somebody cannot substantiate his claims. I am a Member of the Kenya Airways sky team. Am I one of those being referred to by Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale? I am convinced that before Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale mentions the names of Members of this House, a substantive Motion is necessary. Otherwise, he should also withdraw. He has apologized, yes, but he must withdraw that remark. view
  • 23 Sep 2014 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise on Standing Order No.110(1)(i). The orderly conduct of this House is actually dictated by the respect to the Chair. You have instructed as the Chair and the substantive Speaker of this House that Sen. (Dr.) Khalwale withdraws, and he has refused to withdraw. In my opinion, Standing Order No.110(1)(d)--- view
