It is high time that as a country we aligned ourselves and made sure that these transactions are well captured in law. • 17 Aug 2021 in National Assembly: we are coming from as a country. Today the only land in Kenya that is arable is just 10 per cent, which may not necessarily depend on irrigation. It can naturally be cultivated and bring about produce depending on natural weather patterns. The rest of the country is either arid or semi-arid. Forty-eight per cent of our land is arable. In fact, we need to take this a notch higher so that we allow the National Irrigation Authority to prepare places where we can store food. It is happening today in my constituency.
