Mr. Speaker, Sir, I think it is within the mandate of the Ministry of Roads and the many companies that do road constructions in this country to sign contractual agreements that contain issues to do with pollution, environment and road damage. Could the Minister confirm what procedures he follows, so that the said companies work within the contractual obligations?

asked the Minister for Regional Development Authorities:- (a) whether he could provide a per-constituency list of all projects/programmes undertaken by Ewaso Nyiro North and South Development Authorities in all ASAL Constituencies since 2008; and, (b) whether he could also state how much money was spent on each of the projects and indicate the status of the respective projects.

Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, you very well know that Eastleigh is the third largest area in Nairobi, after Westlands and Nairobi Central Business District, in terms of revenue collection by the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA). I want the Assistant Minister to confirm whether it is deliberate effort by the Government, and more so the Ministry of Roads, to neglect Eastleigh. The Government is doing the roads in Westlands and other places throughout the country. For decades now, Kenyans in Eastleigh cannot access the business malls that are in Eastleigh. It is the role of the Government to transport the body. The Ministry of Education has that obligation. What the hon.
