2 Dec 2009 in National Assembly:
Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the last question which hon. Imanyara has asked is very similar to what I wanted to ask. So, I wanted to put it to you like this: In your answer, it is as if you are leaving it upon us Members of Parliament to liaise between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation and be able to convince them for this money to go to a medical institution that is not a dispensary. In my constituency of Butula, I tried to use this money to bring up this Khunyangu Sub-District Hospital ...

On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir. I am not in either Committee so I am not bringing fights of the Committees before this House. First, is the Minister in order to suggest that? Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to thank the Minister for that comprehensive response, but, given that the national guidelines that have been operational since 2004 are not even available in all the hospitals, could he tell us what steps he is taking to ensure that the revised guidelines will be available in all hospitals and other health facilities?

2 Sep 2009 in National Assembly:
Mr. Speaker, Sir, could the Minister clarify what the Government is doing to fast track the establishment of a one-stop centre at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH)? The Government has been trying to establish one for more than a year now. I do not understand why it is taking so long to do so. Could he also clarify why the Government cannot put in its Budget, the money for doctors to attend court? Doctors are not attending court because there is no money to meet that expense.
