  • 24 Jan 2017 in National Assembly: Najua kwamba Wakenya wote wamejitokeza kujiandikisha kupiga kura.
  • 24 Jan 2017 in National Assembly: Asante sana, Mhe.
  • 23 Nov 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for this opportunity. From the outset, Kenya has been having the problem of refugees for a long time. Therefore, it is important to have clear rules and laws to govern all this. In this Bill, structures have been clearly defined on who should be a refugee. At the same time, the methodology for somebody applying to be a refugee has been well stated and appeal procedures have been well defined. It is important to ask questions regarding the merits and demerits of refugees. Screening should be foremost because we have been having refugees, but ... view
  • 19 Oct 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for the opportunity. At the outset, just for information purposes, Taita Taveta is one of the Arid and Semi-Arid Lands where people are dying of hunger yet it is not in the list read out by the Mover. There is no water. Elephants of Tsavo are also fighting for water with human beings. At the moment, there is unusual drought. We have not seen this kind of drought for the last three years. As Hon. Nooru said, it is very serious. If the Government does not intervene, there is going to be a problem. ... view
  • 13 Oct 2016 in National Assembly: Shukrani, Mhe.
  • 11 Oct 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for this opportunity. From the outset, I support this Bill. It is important to enact this law to ensure that ECDE is managed in a good manner. Childhood education is critical in a child’s life because this is the time when we are shaping both the mental and physical behavour of a child. The prevailing notion in the country at the moment is that for one to become a leader of this country he must come from a populous tribe. Such a mentality can be dealt with from early childhood so that it is ... view

  • 3 Aug 2016 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. There are a number of Hon. Members who want to speak. I do not know whom to give a chance and who not to give and I better come to a close. view
  • 3 Aug 2016 in National Assembly: I thank all Members for the support they have given me. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I also congratulate you for your new position. I beg to reply. view
