8 Mar 2016 in National Assembly:
Thank you, Hon. Speaker. First, before I contribute on this very important issue raised by Hon. Chrisantus Wakhungu Wamalwa, I got some instructions about a week ago from you that we should expedite consideration of the Petition by Hon. Sabina Chege on behalf of the family of the late Stephen Mbii Kieru, on the compensation for the death of their breadwinner as a result of a terrorist attack. those who are promoting the malpractice. I know that Hon. Wamalwa represents the people of Trans-Nzoia County. We will request the Ministry and the Committee concerned to investigate the matter and take appropriate action. I only know that most of those parties have certificates for political parties, but they do not even have money. So, where do they get the money to report to Parliament that they exist, when ...

23 Feb 2016 in National Assembly:
I apologise, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I thought we would not even have time to discuss this Report. I support the Report and take note of the President’s Report on state of national security. From the outset, I want to thank His Excellency the President, the Deputy President, the Cabinet Secretary, the Inspector-General of Police and the service commanders for a job well-done. There are two or three major threats in this country and one is terrorism perpetrated by AlShabaab . This has been evident from the time we had problems in Mandera, the Mombasa Republican Council (MRC) at the ...
