He specifically requested that an explanation be given on the circumstances that led to the death of Mr. Saitoti Santamu Oleku and three year old Ntompo Ntoipo Nchaiyo within Kajiado East Constituency on 2nd February, 2016, and 6th March, 2016, respectively. So, on the 24th February, 2016, when this Compensation Committee met, the child was alive. What I said in response was that both the relatives and the guardian of this child have been identified. They have been given claim forms to fill and they have done that.   • 19 Apr 2016 in Senate: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, what I said is that after the first incident involving Mr. Saitoti Santam, the committee went on to meet and discuss his compensation claim. They made a recommendation that he be paid an amount to the tune of Kshs5 million. Subsequently, there was the case of the child on the 6th March, 2016. The relatives of the child has been given the forms to fill, which they have done and the committee at its next meeting will consider the issue of compensation for the child.
