  • 25 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, even as we talk about the National Treasury not availing money for pensioners, we have another problem of people processing these files. People processing pension behave as if they will never retire themselves. They keep on demanding money from pensioners. I had a teacher who told me that for a teacher to get his or her pension processed, they have to pay Kshs50,000. One of them came to borrow that money from me so that he can pay those officers for the file to be availed. If you do not pay, it is hidden forever. Some of them ... view

You will find that officers have nobody to supervise them. In my constituency an office has one or two staff and every other day we have youths who turn up there to get ID cards but they never get them. The Registry of Persons should be overhauled holistically and corrective measures put in place so that ... view
  • 11 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman for giving me this opportunity. Unlike the first amendment, the one by Hon. Baya has gone through the right stages. It is important we recognise the two cash crops from the Coast and they are the mainstay of the people from the Coast. Each region has its cash crops. I would like to support it because the people of the Coast supported us in the 11th Parliament when we were struggling to have miraa classified as a cash crop. view

  • 9 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I want to join my fellow colleagues in congratulating you on behalf of the people of Igembe South and Meru County. view
  • 9 Mar 2021 in National Assembly: You are a leader to be emulated. Whenever I attend meetings in my constituency, they advise me to follow in your footsteps in your earlier duties. Last Saturday was just a beginning of your bright future. My fellow colleagues have congratulated you and this means all leaders have identified something very special in you. It is time to start exploiting the good in you even by the entire country. view
