  • 6 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has talked of having less funds in order to undertake some of these projects. Could he tell us what tangible programmes he has put in place to make sure that he attracts more funding even from donors, so that they can undertake these viable projects? view
  • 6 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, what the CDF does to constituencies cannot be overemphasized. It is a known fact and we do not even need to dwell so much on the components that it has gone through to make sure that the lives of our people become much easier. If at all Mr. Odhiambo was “found” with fraudulent cases, I believe that the Attorney-General would have recommended that he be charged in court and not that the matter be handled administratively. Is the Assistant Minister in order to mislead the House? view
  • 5 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, that is what I heard the Assistant Minister advance on the Floor of the House. view
  • 5 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, if Mr. Odhiambo was engaged in a fraudulent act, why has he not been taken to court? That is what I am trying to understand from the Assistant Minister. view
  • 29 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Higher Education, Science and Technology:- (a) whether he could explain to the House the criteria used in identifying the regions that have benefitted from the establishment of eight new national polytechnics; and, (b) how the Ministry intends to cater for such regions as Nyakach in Central Nyanza which were not considered. view
  • 29 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the answers given by the Assistant Minister is a bit misleading because in his answer, he says that they were considering one institution in each province. But if you go through this list, you will find that Meru Technical Training Institute and Machakos Technical Training Institute are both from Eastern Province. Sigalagala Technical Training Institute and Kitale Technical Training Institute are in Western Province. So, is he really correct in telling us that they considered one institution per province? view
  • 29 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Minister has confirmed that the money is actually lying at the DC’s office in Mombasa. Could he table evidence that the money is actually there? view
