  • 28 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Minister has talked about increase in collection within Nairobi but she has not talked about the issue of water rationing. Why are we still experiencing water rationing in some parts of Nairobi while collections have gone up? view
  • 1 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security:- (a) whether he could confirm that the Government is likely to lose Kshs.16 million as a result of the demolition of police flats at Central Police Station, Nairobi, which were constructed on a road reserve despite a warning by the Ministry of Roads; and, (b) why the construction was allowed to go on and what action he has taken to ensure that the officers responsible for the loss are held to account. view
  • 1 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, this is a very sad affair indeed. If you can remember, this particular Assistant Minister has been complaining about shortage of housing for police officers. At the same time, they have been complaining of being underfunded by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Ministry of Finance and then they allow this kind of loss to take place in their Ministry. Could he tell us clearly who was actually to blame for this kind of loss? view
  • 1 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: I think the Assistant Minister has addressed my concerns. If they are going to surcharge the Ministry of Public Works and then in the end the Ministry of Public Works would now look for the money from whoever misled the entire Ministry, then that is okay. view
  • 1 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Minister explain whether this exercise of spraying mosquitoes in households will still continue around Lake Victoria? Could the Minister confirm whether the exercise will continue after the first phase, including in my area in Nyakach? view
  • 26 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, this problem is very rampant. In my own constituency of Nyakach, I have five projects which have not been commissioned for the last two years. The reason we are given by the KPLC is that they do not have transformers. Could the Assistant Minister confirm when they will have sufficient transformers in order to commission all the projects that have been constructed in the country? view
  • 19 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister explain whether that extension means the Government paying more money to the contractor? view
  • 18 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, so many people have died or lost their lives while the Government is watching. It is the Government which licences those who brew the illicit alcohol. When is he going to consider compensating those who have lost their lives? It is the Government which has left those people to thrive in that illegal business! view
  • 11 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: Is the Minister aware that a part of my constituency, Nyakach, is semi-arid? If he is aware, when does he intend to include it in the development programmes under his Ministry? view
  • 11 Aug 2010 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Trade:- (a) to inform the House the ministry’s role in the pursuit of Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) between Kenya and the European Union; and, (b) whether he is aware of the potential negative impact of the agreements to agriculture in Kenya and the economy generally and, if so, what measures the Government has taken to mitigate against such impact. view
