  • 8 May 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, is the Leader of the Majority Party in order to state that the governors of our counties want more money when the Jubilee Government has devolved functions to the counties without allocation of adequate resources to enable the governors to perform? Is he in order? view
  • 2 May 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, I beg to give notice of the following Motion:- THAT, aware that over 600 pieces of ivory worth Kshs100 million were intercepted at the Port of Mombasa in March 2013 headed for Indonesia; concerned that 1,000 elephants have died in a span of three years; further aware that the Government declared poaching in the country as a national disaster; noting that a pound of ivory can now fetch more than US$1,000 in Beijing and, as a result, tens of thousands of elephants are slaughtered across Africa; also aware that the Far East is a market hub for that ... view
  • 24 Apr 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, it is the sole and primary responsibility of any Government worth its name to protect the lives and property of its people. These operations are well targeted, well calculated and systematic. These things take days. They even assemble very sophisticate weapons to kill and maim Kenyans. This Government has national security intelligence services which are able to gather information necessary to safeguard the lives of Kenyans. Where are our men and women who are serving us in terms of our security intelligence? Is this Government not consuming and using intelligence information to safeguard the lives of Kenyans? view
  • 17 Apr 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Speaker, Sir, I also want to congratulate you on your election as the Speaker of this Eleventh Parliament. I recall that when at the time a member of the Pentagon of a party, a deputy ... view

  • 17 Apr 2013 in National Assembly: The Leader of the Majority Party mentioned that all the 349 hon. Members of this House are up to the task, but a few of us have been selected to serve in the HBC as well as on the Selection Committee. What we oppose is seeing the same names recycled to serve on the Committee on Selection and other strategic committees of this House. We will oppose that because all of us are up to the task, and are willing and capable to serve this nation and this House. view
