  • 22 Oct 2014 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I also want to be assured by Sen Sang’ by inviting me to his county. May I say that the whole process of the President’s Speech should not be taken by legislators from the ruling party to question why some Members did not appear in Parliament. We were on recess and when people are on recess they do not have access to all information. For example, I was in Tanzania at that time. I was to give a presentation but I had to request for permission to watch the proceedings on Citizen Television which ... view
  • 22 Oct 2014 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I would like Sen. Sang to withdraw. My watching Citizen Television does not mean that I did not abide by the laws of my party. So, could Sen. Sang withdraw that statement? view
  • 22 Oct 2014 in Senate: Thank you Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. Let me finish by saying that let us respect each other. In fact, is it Sen. Murkomen who said that some people were talking in funerals? The Constitution gives us freedom of expression. So, whatever I say, as long as I am not infringing on somebody’s rights, those are my feelings as per the Constitution. • 24 Sep 2014 in Senate: Thank you very much, Madam Temporary Speaker, for giving me an opportunity to contribute towards this important Motion. I would like to also thank Sen. Karaba for wearing the shoe of persons with disabilities. This is the direction we should take as Kenyans because the problem of disability, as it is, is left to the affected families; the parents who have a person or a child with a disability. I want to thank the speakers who have contributed to this Motion because they have given me moral support. They, indeed, understand what disability is and the challenges faced by children ... view
  • 7 Aug 2014 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I want to thank you for the communication. This message should go clearly to our Governors. They should not just look at the issue of finances as one way of violating the Constitution or going against the will of Kenyans. I want to tell them this afternoon that the Constitution is being violated in very many ways. We want it to be clear that the issue of representation of people with disability within county governments is wanting, right from the county assemblies up to the employment processes. These are the things that ... view

  • 7 Aug 2014 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, for giving me this opportunity to make my contribution and support this Motion. Indeed, I want to thank the team that represented us. I congratulate them for lifting this nation high. I want to challenge the Government, especially the parent Ministry, that the issue of sports in this country needs a lot of support. I want to speak on the area of paralympics as Sen. Martha Wangari has mentioned. I have been an official in the area of paralympics and especially in cerebral palsy as an official. I am speaking from experience. There are ... view
