28 Oct 2014 in National Assembly:
Thank you, hon. Chairlady. I stand to support the amendment by hon. Mwaita because it is this amendment that is going to take care of the community. If we say that the community is catered for at the county level, why then did we have the community land recognised in the first place? Hon. Chairlady, it is very important that we have this amendment and I wish to urge the entire House to support it. The community should have a say in the minerals that will be discovered in their areas. Thank you.

Not really a point of order, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I wish to seek some clarification on Clause 47(2).

28 Oct 2014 in National Assembly:
Sorry, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. In Clause 47(2), we have ‘licensed’ with an ‘s’ and in Clause 47(3) we have ‘licence’ with ‘c’. So, what is the difference?

Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. Actually, this is to support the amendment because it will give priority to the locals. In case the locals are the first ones to apply, then they stand a better chance of getting the tender. Thank you.

22 Oct 2014 in National Assembly:
Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. The majority of those who have spoken, including the Member on the Floor, are missing the point. This Motion is not about establishing a fund for men between the ages of 35 and 50. It is about creating a fund for all people of all ages and genders. Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker.

20 Aug 2014 in National Assembly:
Hon. Deputy Speaker, it is, indeed, a pity that the Chairpersons respond to requests made by hon. Members. We agreed that we were going to have Cabinet Secretaries in this House, so that whenever we seek clarifications they take responsibility. When are we going to have this? I urge the Chair to act as fast as possible, so that we can have these people in the House.
