  • 19 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the new hon. Member may not even know that after he spoke, he could not do what he has just tried to do. We need to induct hon. Members. This is not a small matter. We are vetting eminent foreign persons. We are talking about people whose countries have been magnanimous enough to let us have them. They could be used somewhere else. If the hon. Member had looked at the background of these people – I believe he has since he is a Member of the relevant Committee – he would not view
  • 19 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. This is really not a statue but factual. view
  • 19 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, we are not mentioning names. The Supreme Court is not anybody’s name. I am within the rules of debate. It is nice to see him engaging meaningfully when he is not chasing the Senate. This is good use of time by the Member. I want to congratulate him. This is not a small matter. There is a debate out there on which way to go with our education system. This country is going to have to debate on the money already being given to schools for Free Primary Education and subsidized secondary education. We may have to accept that in the near future supervision ... view

  • 13 Jun 2013 in National Assembly: Yes. Thank you, hon. Speaker, Sir. The matter before the House is not a small matter. As hon. Shabbir has said, these monies were for the financial year ending in about 15 days. So, how did the Government intend to give these monies to the constituencies? Let me say something which went on, on the Floor of this House earlier this year before the majority of us were here. Hon. Robinson Githae stood on this podium The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
