  • 6 Mar 2012 in National Assembly: The Minister who is also the Acting Minister for Finance and whose responsibility is to protect the Kenyan people, is on the Floor of this House trying to convince the country, that the euro crisis and the crisis in Portugal and Greece were responsible for the decline of the shilling. This morning the people from the IMF met the Finance and Budget Committees, and said, Kenya is lucky and I quote: “That they were not affected by the euro crisis” The Head of IMF--- and the same person said, he has met the Minister, and the people from the CBK. view
  • 6 Mar 2012 in National Assembly: Is he in order to try to triviliaze such a big issue which is affecting our people and narrow it down to one person, while this argument is about the office, and not about Governor Njuguna Ndung’u? • 1 Mar 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to seek your indulgence. Some of the issues which have been raised about the details in this Report were surely in this Report when we finished it. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, we knew that what you are seeing happening was a possibility because of what we are dealing with. As you know, I am involved in the investigations of this depreciation of the shilling and the issue of interest rates. So, we knew even as we went to Mombasa to complete this Report that if we did not protect it, the crooks would get ... view
