First, I support the Committee in the decision that it has taken to annul those Regulations for the reason that the procedure that should have been followed was not. It is good to commend the Committee for being that vigilant in the work it has continued to do. We have reasons to commend it for what it has done since the commencement of this Parliament. There are two issues. There is the idea that was mooted by those in the Executive, but there is also ... view
  • 11 Sep 2019 in National Assembly: participation and the rest. There is also the issue of relooking at these Funds and assessing their effectiveness given the time they have been in operation. This idea should not be totally killed; it needs to be taken back to the drawing board. We are at a time when we need to look at this whole concept again. • 7 Aug 2019 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker. I echo the sentiments of my colleagues with some little bit of fear that you will be lenient on this judgement. Your statement on this one, I hope you are not lenient at all to the Nation Media and other media houses. The decision to house the Media Centre within Parliament was made when some of us were here, to improve the communication between Parliament and the citizenry. The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposes only. Acertified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor. view
