  • 18 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: I wish the Members consulting in front of me would give me some peace by choosing to relocate. They have chosen to come and speak in front of me. Why can they not relocate if they cannot listen to me? They are the ones who summoned us to come for this Sitting. You cannot call us and make noise to us instead of listening to what we are saying. I have had enough of Hon. Mbarire. I can now move on. view
  • 18 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: We have Brand Kenya and we wonder what they do for our country. On DSTV - and I hope it is on other channels - there is a channel on lifestyle. I took some time last week to watch it. They have documented tourism in this country. I did not know that one can have breakfast with giraffes in Kenya. It happens at the Giraffe Centre. It is a very unique thing in the country. If Brand Kenya would take time to market us across the country and across the world, I am certain that this country will do wonders. ... view
  • 18 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: This Protocol, without doubt, guarantees job opportunities for young people. We hope that it becomes a reality. view
  • 18 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: On the quality of our flights, I would like to talk to Kenya Airways (KQ), because some of its aircraft are wanting. We would want them to improve the quality of flights in terms of facilities and services. They should also improve in keeping time. They are referred to as view

  • 18 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: As we laud the Committee for the good work they have done, it is important that all that is required to be done be done to benefit fully when this Protocol is done. Relevant agencies in ministries should play their role so that we can benefit to the maximum as a country. Again, I thank the Committee led by Hon. Pkosing for the good work they have done. With those remarks, I beg to support. view
  • 18 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Deputy Speaker for giving me the opportunity to support this Report. If the new Major is to fight this war on corruption, he must win the support of Kenyans. We will wait to see how he will do that. He must work with all the other agencies. There are a couple of things which have been done by the Committee in the Report. They have even shown us the questions they asked. Many of them include how he is going to vet the staff already in office. One of the major things that we will be expecting ... view
  • 18 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: outlined in the Report, strengthen the asset recovery mechanisms and also ensure that members of staff are vetted from time to time. view
  • 18 Dec 2018 in National Assembly: Hon. Deputy Speaker, as we support the Report, it is also crucial that we as MPs desist from threatening to disband those commissions because in so doing, we kill the support that they have from the public. Also, it does not help when you are working and you are feeling threatened. However, we also hope that the Committee has done their work. We hope that the retired Major will not be arrested shortly thereafter. We have had other reports in this House, approved names only for them to be arrested when they report to the office for crimes that were ... view
