It is also important to note that I am properly trained in early drought management; I have a post- graduate qualification in it. So, my contribution is important. view
• 5 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: In a nutshell, I am saying that we are able to do our roads through the help of the Chinese in two or three months. Why can we not do something like development of the swamps where we are holding water reserves that is enough to serve Nairobi for 70 years, produce enough to feed the whole of North Eastern Province and export in excess of 190 million bags of maize? Why can we not develop strategic projects that we are talking about? view
• 5 Sep 2012 in National Assembly: I agree with the Minister that roads and security are essential, but that can also be worked out very well if we have places where we have things done together. These include infrastructure in health, irrigation, education and so on. I am looking forward to the Chair changing its mind, so that this comes to the Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Cooperatives, so that we can put in it the ideas we have; in fact, that is where it belongs. view

• 30 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, as the Assistant Minister for Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs, and using all the written and unwritten statutes, is he satisfied that justice is being done to the shareholders and depositors of this bank? Was this bank essentially closed because of political or technical reasons? We know of a bank that was owned by a Cabinet Minister which was closed because of political reasons. view
• 30 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Is the Assistant Minister in order to mislead the House that leasing an ambulance means to hire it from the streets? You can lease equipment, own it for two years and then return it. They do it in the police. All over Europe and America it is done like that. You can also lease an X-Ray equipment and once they have a newer model, you return it. Is he in order? view
• 30 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Transport:- (a) whether he could provide a list of road accident related deaths, including pedestrians and boda boda since 2000, indicating the exact roads, dates of accidents and the number injured or maimed each year; and, (b) what the status of compensation of the victims is. view
• 30 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to be fair to the Minister because 12 years is a very long time and take him through from 3rd March, 2012 which is fairly recently. I want to inform him that ten people died at Sirisia in Bungoma on 9th March and a disabled woman was ran over by a train at Pipeline, Nairobi. On 18th March, eight people died in Kisumu along the Homa Bay Road, on 23rd March, six people died along the Nairobi-Nakuru Road at Limuru and on 3rd April, 11 people died in Kinango, Kwale.
