  • 30 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Now that we know that there are several legislative pieces that will be coming through which will be part of the remedy, is the Minister considering as part of the fabric in our super highways to have emergency and trauma centres to minimize deaths, particularly to do with bleeding as patients await specialized treatment or while being airlifted? view
  • 29 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, with your indulgence, part “b” of the Question is completely adulterated and does not reflect what I did ask. What I had asked- -- view
  • 29 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Part (b) of the Question is completely adulterated. I had asked the following question:- “How was the tender awarded and can the Minister give the identities of the directors of the two firms undertaking this contract?” Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, what appears on the Order Paper is:- “(b) Could the Minister state the names of the two firms that were awarded the contract?” That means that the Assistant Minister either got the wrong Question from this Parliament or he did not capture the spirit and the wording of this particular Question. • 28 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I further request that the Minister calls for an urgent reconciliation between Christians and Muslims. Let us not pretend that tension is not there because I arrived at the scene about five minutes after the incident. This was in a bright sunny day. • 23 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Chairman, Sir. My point of order is very simple. You have heard the hon. Member challenge you and even admit he challenged you. If we are going to conduct this as the august House, let it be. If we are going to conduct it outside like a kamukunji, we do it but no one is allowed to challenge the Chair. view

  • 22 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise to support this reduction. Let me also seek the Chair’s intervention, so that the Executive gives us a clue on which Bills we, as a Committee chairpersons, are expecting in order to plan our work. If possible, we have the Draft Bills in advance so that we can prepare ourselves. I beg to support and say poor planning on their part should not really constitute an emergency on our part. view
