  • 13 Oct 2021 in National Assembly: country, to take this issue of water seriously. We have a lot of water that goes to waste from all the rivers that drain into Lake Victoria. Lake Victoria receives water from Rift Valley and Western yet the people surrounding the areas like where we come from do not get it. As I speak, my constituency of Sirisia does not have water but we are surrounded by very big rivers like River Nzoia, River Lwakhakha and River Malakisi. They are big rivers but there is no water. People cry about water every day. Women go to look for water even ... view

  • 29 Sep 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I am sorry for that. Where I was sitting there was no handle. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, I thank Hon. Keter for bringing up this Bill. It is timely for us, as a House, to discuss it. The youth of this country have suffered and as a House, we need to be serious as Members of Parliament who represent the people of Kenya. We represent the youth of this country, and many of them who have graduated from universities out there need help. The Government of Kenya needs to be serious to create employment ... view
  • 29 Sep 2021 in National Assembly: I blame the World Bank, which ordered many of our institutions to be privatised. During our time, the youth of this country used to enjoy. When the World Bank came in forcing privatisation, this country started to have a problem of unemployment for our youth. This is because government industries have collapsed; and sometimes people force the industry to collapse so that other people can buy it at a throwaway price. When they buy it at a throwaway price, the person who bought it will only employ people who he/she knows are from his/her tribe. That is why we have ... view
  • 10 Aug 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you Hon. Speaker, for giving me a chance to contribute to this Petition. There is a reason the Government keeps huge chunks of land. It is always for the future generations. For some time, people have been misusing land that the Government had set aside for future use. In the near future, we are going to lack land for the coming generation. We will then start to look at some place that may not have land. The Government must be very keen on the de-gazettement because in some places like Western, there is no land. So, in future, we ... view
  • 10 Aug 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me a chance to also support the Bill. Out there, many of our parents, brothers and sisters are poor and cannot afford to pay for NHIF cover. As a House, I request that we come in to make sure that they pay for our people to get this cover. Very many people are dying. In one weekend, you can bury even 15 people in a constituency. Because of lack of money and poverty, our people go through very difficult times, especially during this COVID-19 period. Kenyan people operate below a ... view

  • 5 Aug 2021 in National Assembly: Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to ask Question No. 270/2021 to the Cabinet Secretary for Education: (i) Could the Cabinet Secretary explain how the Government plans to realise 100 per cent transition for all students who sat for the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations to universities, colleges and other institutions of higher learning as directed by His Excellency the President, Hon.
