On 25th February 2016, pursuant to Standing Order No.45 (2) (b), I sought a Statement from the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Land and Natural Resources regarding the management of community and public land in Machakos County. First, I give credit to the leadership of the House and the Speaker for conducting a successful but difficult Session. This House has worked around the clock, but there have been serious barriers in the process of trying to achieve and deliver services to Kenyans. Nevertheless, Senators have done their work. I said that President Uhuru Kenyatta demonstrated courage albeit with some weakness when he said ‘I do not know’. That is an open statement.
