• 22 Oct 2013 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I share the same rivers with Sen. Wamatangi. A statement on contamination of the two rivers was issued by the NEMA, giving warning to residents who live close to the rivers not to use that water. We discussed this statement with Sen. Wamatangi and an undertaking was given that a Statement would be issued in two weeks. As we are talking, young men are diving into those rivers and the cows and other livestock are drinking water from those rivers, when actually a warning was issued by the Government.
