  • 17 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I also rise to support the Report of this Committee that was led by the Chair. view
  • 17 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I want to offer my special congratulations to the Chairman and his Committee for a fantastic job that they did. Looking at those names and the way the names were presented here, it eliminates and does away with those tribal lines, which we see, every now and then, being drawn in this House. view
  • 17 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Chairman has done a good job. The positions are with Kenyans and we must trust Kenyans when they are being offered positions. We should not try to deal with everything on a regional basis and communities. A Kenyan who has been offered a job has been offered a job as a Kenyan. We must support that position and allow Kenyans to serve. I do not want to see those who do not have the opportunity to come and defend their names here, who are children of other mothers and fathers in this country---- view
  • 17 May 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, names of people who have got children and families are being actually despised and scandalized on the Floor of this House. It is good to show that, truly, even if there is a Kenyan who has done wrong, we find a way of counseling that person; we find a way of strengthening that person up. That is because no one can say he or she is 100 per cent perfect. No one can stand up to say that. All of us here have our own weakness and problems. If Kenyans can start criticizing us, they will ... view

  • 16 May 2012 in National Assembly: Ahsante sana, Naibu Spika wa Muda. ... view
  • 10 May 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Would I be in order to ask hon. Khalwale truly to declare his interest in Speedways? Speedways Company has a case with KRA and they are demanding to be paid billions of shillings for purportedly collecting taxes on behalf of KRA. If it is true that, that company wants to be paid that money, which taxes did they collect on behalf of KRA? The documents being laid there by Dr. Khalwale have been authored by certain institutions. It is the same company that is demanding to be paid billions of shillings by ... view
  • 10 May 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. You have noticed that the hon. Member is actually reading the notes on the booklet that he is holding. view
  • 9 May 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker. I also stand to raise my voice in support of this Motion. The Budget Committee has done a fantastic work. The Report is now before the House to be adopted. view
  • 9 May 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I want to concur with those who have spoken before me. There are issues which do raise some great concern to us. One of them is the education system. Truly, if we are serious leaders of this country, then we need to take care of the people we are leading. We have to address their needs and concerns. view
