At that time, the advert to allocate that land freely to unknown people had already been put up. As I speak, the allocation is going on despite the fact that there a lot of grievances by the residents of Machakos County. Under those circumstances, we should not keep moving this issue forward. • 13 Oct 2016 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, the Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Lands and Natural Resources has said that he does not accept the report that was submitted to the Committee. This report was done on the 6th April, 2016 and has been kept. The Committee has seen it for the last 10 months yet they have not acted. The answers are very shallow and totally unacceptable, yet the Committee is not accepting. What are we waiting for, this being October? My understanding is that mobile clinics are yet to be supplied to all parts of the country. He explained the basis of mobile clinics but which areas have been provided with mobile clinics? How can a Government claim that no funds are available to compensate an innocent student injured by a trained officer who was trained with taxpayers’ money? That gun was not being carried by an untrained person. Does this Jubilee Government truly lack money to compensate such an injured student? view

I know there have been some hitches and I do not want to blame the Chairperson. This is because the statement was to come in the week that I spent with the Select Committee.
