  • 24 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, he has said in newspapers and all over the media that there is corruption; he has actually given a great deal of confidence to this country for the future; why can we not give him the opportunity to do that? view
  • 24 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the reasons for blocking P.L.O. Lumumba from this position are political; it is hatred and tribalism! I stand here to say that I am a Kenyan and I support his appointment and I want him to ascend to that position! Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to support. view
  • 23 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is it in order for hon. Members here to keep on insisting that the money should be allowed just for two months? If this money is given out for two months--- Is it in order for the hon. Members to be asking for the allocation to be given for two months when we know very well it is not enough? view
... view
  • 16 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I want to take this opportunity also to congratulate the Minister for Finance for the Budget he presented to this House for this financial year. It is the first time in this country that we are realizing that Kshs1 trillion can be spent in the Financial Year 2010-2011. This was unexpected and I also want to congratulate the Minister for coming up with ways and means of collecting taxes to make sure that the Budget is realized. Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, this money we are spending is truly reflective of Kenyans especially ... view
  • 16 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the issue I was raising actually concerns the money being spent. I will dwell and stick on the issues of taxation. I want to say once again that the directives that have been given by the Minister, if they are going to be adhered to in terms of collecting taxes, the country will be able to spend enough money and probably improve the economy of the country. With these very few words, I beg to support. view

  • 15 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to second. view
  • 9 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Would I be in order to ask the Assistant Minister if it is correct, as an Assistant Minister, for him to stand here and say that because there was an anomaly in another Ministry, this one should also be accepted? view
  • 9 Jun 2010 in National Assembly: Does he mean that because there was an anomaly elsewhere, we should continue doing the same thing, or that if it happens, it has to be supported? It is up to the Assistant Minister to stand and debate issues as an Assistant Minister of the Government! view
