The Committee discussed issues with various stakeholders, including the Betting, Licensing and Control Board (BLCB), the Principal Secretary (PS) in charge of sports, culture and arts; and the one for Interior and Co- ordination of National Government. Chairlady, I want to make the following observations: It is important that even when such proposals are made by the National Treasury, it consults before it publishes. It is very discouraging for investors in this country when policies keep changing. Today you speak this language and the following day, you speak another language. Therefore, going forward, it is important that consultations are done before publishing. For this country to thrive, ease of doing business is important.
