  • 24 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this Motion. view
  • 24 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: We, as elected leaders, represent Kenyans in this House. We are supposed to defend their rights at all time. The issue of a new Constitution has been discussed for so long in this country. In fact, many Kenyans have been agitating for a new Constitution for a long time. It has taken us over 20 years to look for a new Constitution. view
  • 24 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, this is a noble opportunity that has been bestowed on us by our electorate. We need to make sure that Kenyans this time round have a new Constitution. The Members of the Tenth Parliament have the responsibility to deliver a new Constitution to Kenyans. We have now reached a point of no return in this process. It is a long history. I urge my fellow colleagues as we debate this proposed Constitution to ask ourselves what kind of legacy we want to leave behind. This Constitution is not meant for us. It is not meant for ... view
  • 10 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I support this Motion on these grounds. I think this House will agree with me that it selected some Members to go and deliberate on this Constitution and they agreed on everything. The whole nation is watching us keenly. What we come up with in Naivasha should be agreeable to all hon. Members. So, we will not go to Naivasha as ODM or PNU. view
  • 10 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I think I was on the Floor. view
  • 10 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker. I was telling this honourable House that it is very important for us to go to Naivasha. As we go to Naivasha, we are going as one House. There is neither ODM nor PNU. So, I am supporting this Motion. I request all hon. Members to go there united, speak with one voice and agree that we shall come up with a new Constitution. view
  • 10 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: With those remarks, I beg to support. view
  • 2 Dec 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wish to thank the Prime Minister for his work and the steps he is taking to make sure we have reforms in place despite the fact that some people want to bring a vote of no confidence in him. These are the people who are not appreciating his work. Is he aware of those people who intend to bring such a Motion from his party? What is the implication of such a Motion? Could he tell--- view
  • 2 Dec 2009 in National Assembly: Yes, Mr. Speaker, Sir. view
  • 26 Nov 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, I would like to thank the Minister for answering this Question. However, I would request him to state what the Government is doing about the Mau Forest Complex issue. I come from the northern part of the Mau Forest Complex where we have been waiting for the implementation of the Task Force Report. Its recommendations were even endorsed by the Cabinet. We have not seen anything on the ground. How long will the Government take to make sure that the northern part of the Mau Forest Complex is replanted with trees? view
