No, hon. Speaker, Sir. I was going for another business. I was not lobbying. I rise to support the amendment to this Bill. It is a very important Bill because it is going to strengthen the financial sector and it will encourage saving. We are aware that without savings, it is very difficult to develop as a country. One way of ensuring that people have security or they have confidence in the financial sector, is when they are assured that their deposits are well taken care of and they can be paid. So, the financial sector will be strengthened through ...

the investments can also create jobs and possibilities. This is what is going to make our people live with confidence. That way, we can live without depending on other people. We will be self-reliant and then we can also have own dignity. Hon. Speaker, Sir, when you depend on other people, even your dignity is in problem, you are troubled, you cannot stand on your own and you cannot have your voice. But if you have a strong economy, then we can have a voice. With those remarks, I support this Bill.

Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I rise to support this Motion as amended. In this Motion, it is very important that we consider farmers. In my constitutency, Igembe North, we are near the Meru National Park and Ngaya Forest and there is a lot of human-wildlife conflict. Many times, people are injured and crops are destroyed by wildlife. Farmers have not benefited and it is high time that even as we take care of our wildlife, we also considered farmers who invest in their The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. farms. Many times, they end up having all their crops destroyed. According to the KWS, this cannot be compensated. We are looking forward to this Bill to come to this august House, so that we can discuss it and look at the possibility of having the farmers and the people compensated adequately as we take care of our wildlife. At times, it is disturbing because it appears as if we are more concerned with the wildlife than we are with human beings. This is ridiculous. Wildlife, if we follow the biblical principles, is supposed to take care of human beings. ...

Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. I rise to support this Motion. I wish to thank the Mover for moving the Motion. I come from Igembe North, which neighbours Isiolo and part of Samburu where we have challenges. The people who support us are the Kenya Police Reservists (KPR). They are very helpful and it is high time the Government also takes its responsibility seriously. Even as we The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, cattle rustling has been around for a long time. I am speaking with a lot of pain because many livestock from my constituwency is with our neighbours. This has been a regular occurrence. I do not know whether the Government is not able to protect its own citizens. Even as we deploy KPR, a lot of money is allocated to the security agents. The cattle rustlers come from one region to the other. In this particular incident, they went to a particular place. It is known where they are and nothing has happened. It is ...

Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker. I stand to support this Motion. It is important that we manage the waste around Dandora and other parts of this country. We can also be able to convert that problem into an opportunity because we could make fertilizer out of it. We could even recycle polythene papers into useful products. However, in this Motion I would urge the Government to either partner with or encourage the private sector because I am not sure whether the Government will be in the business of establishing factories for recycling waste. But it would encourage and even subsidise ...
