Mr. Speaker, Sir, if I may, we are putting the cart before the horse. I need to be on record in this House that if we go on with these proceedings the way we are doing, we might be giving the former Governor of Embu room in another court. We must set standards in the way we are dealing with issues of impeachment in this House. I want to be on record.

Mr. Speaker, Sir, the county assemblies are empowered to deal with issues of checking the executive at the counties. This message has to be very clear. Yesterday, my county assembly became the second county assembly to kick out the Speaker because of malpractices. So, the MCAs are doing their rightful job. This afternoon, the Senate will do its rightful job. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to support.

From the outset, I want to commend the President of Kenya for having seen it important to hold the constitutional requirement that this House is given the mandate it deserves to deliberate on this issue.
