  • 17 Apr 2007 in National Assembly: Bw.
  • 17 Apr 2007 in National Assembly: Bw. Naibu Spika wa Muda, ndio maana nakueleza. Sisi tuko hapa kusikiliza. view
  • 7 Dec 2006 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. This is a very fundamental issue which is being left here without being disclosed. Mr. Raila asked the Assistant Minister to give the full details of that transaction. In answering that question, the Assistant Minister said that it was approved by this former Minister. However, he failed to tell us the full details. C ould they tell us what really transpired around that time? December 7, 2006 PARLIAMENTARY DEBATES 4269 view
  • 7 Dec 2006 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Lands:- (a) whether he is aware that the residents of Mwitika and Mutito Divisions of Kitui District have no title deeds; and, (b) when the title deeds will be issued to them. view
  • 7 Dec 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, land adjudication in those two divisions of Mutito Constituency began in 1992. It has now taken 14 years and yet, the residents are still suffering. Could the Minister tell this august House when the Ministry is going to complete the process of land adjudication? view
  • 7 Dec 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, it has taken 14 years for the Government to carry out the land adjudication exercise in Kitui District. However, so far, the exercise may be carried out only in Itiko Sub-Location, in January 2007. The rest of the divisions; Mwitika and Mutito, it is said, may benefit from land adjudication when funds become available. We do not know when the funds will be available. Could the Assistant Minister give an undertaking that in January next year, or at a certain time of the year, he will give title deeds to our people? view
  • 7 Dec 2006 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. It is very clear from both sides of the House that we can capture the mood of the House. Would I be in order to call upon the Mover to reply? view
  • 30 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Is it in order for the Assistant Minister to ask the women to report to the police yet when they went there, they were told it is a civil matter and no action is being taken? Could the Government safeguard the interests of Kenyan women? view
  • 29 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the case of Mr. Okwore is just one among many. Members of our forces are killed in the line of duty and it takes unnecessarily too long for their suffering families to be paid their dues. I have an example of two cases that I presented to this Ministry, where two constables were killed and their families have not received their dues. Could the Assistant Minister tell this House how long it takes for families to be paid, even after they have presented all the required documents? view
  • 28 Nov 2006 in National Assembly: asked the Minister for Energy:- (a) how many electricity projects are due for implementation in Kitui District by the end of 2006/2007 Financial Year; (b) whether he could tabulate the projects per constituency and their costs; and, (c) what criteria is used in determining the projects. view
