Itakuwa maajabu akina mama ... view
  • 25 Mar 2014 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I also rise to support this Motion that was brought by Sen. Hassan from Mombasa. First, I want to send my condolences to the affected families and wish those injured a quick recovery. There is one thing I need to share with my fellow Senators; it is our responsibility irrespective of our political affiliation to investigate. I want to add my voice to what Sen. Wetangula said; that the relevant Committees should go down to Mombasa to investigate. We should not leave this matter to the Committees alone. I want to take this opportunity to call ... view
  • 20 Mar 2014 in Senate: Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I am happy to really know that the Committee sat down and has come up with the reasons this road has not been completed. It is very unfortunate that today over 80,000 potential farmers from the whole of Kuresoi are suffering because of the under-funding of that road. I am happy to receive the report so that I am in a position now to make further interrogation. I appreciate the answer given by the Committee on this Statement. view
  • 20 Mar 2014 in Senate: On a point of order, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I am not satisfied with the answer given. This is not the kind of answer that I expected to get from the Committee. I am talking on behalf of very many people from Kuresoi; the dairy and potato farmers who are really suffering. I do not think I am ready to take back this answer to them; that the Government under-estimated funding to this road. I want to request the Committee to give me a satisfactory answer to this Statement. view
  • 19 Mar 2014 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I also rise to support this Motion that was brought to the Floor by Sen. Lesan. I agree that he must have done some research. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, what is very important is to develop a very good policy. This is because different homes have different views. There are those who would like to be put in a particular place for them to have good care and there are those who would not like to move out of their families. The same thing applies to their children. I know very well that there ... view
  • 12 Mar 2014 in Senate: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I also rise to support this Motion which was moved by Sen. Muthama and thank him for bringing it. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, there is one thing that makes me happy about this Motion, that is, the establishment of an insurance scheme. This will make work easier.
