  • 28 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir. Considering that there are so many Kenyans even in the urban areas who are able to buy a house up to a certain amounts of, say Kshs4 million, what is the Assistant Minister doing to ensure that those who are doing construction in the city and outside are able to sell the houses at a cheaper price because now they are out of reach for man Kenyans who could easily buy for themselves? view
  • 27 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, in Rongai, we had six recruits taken by the military on 18th. Those six had passed all the tests that were carried out and they were asked to report at Moi Barracks Eldoret, where another set of tests were carried out. One of those young men was sent back on the basis that the fingerprints taken at the recruitment centre were different from the ones that were taken in Eldoret. This young man was sent back without any other reason, thus denying Rongai a chance. Secondly, he was called to collect the money through an agent who ... view
  • 27 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: My question is: What is the Assistant Minister going to do to ensure that this young man who had succeeded will be taken back, because he was sent away at a stage when he had passed everything, and had been given Service No.35894? view
  • 26 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, could the Assistant Minister tell us what he will do to ensure that his officers, particularly the ones in my constituency who are in charge of the construction of the health facility pay the money they have refused to pay to the contractor? This has led to the stalling of the construction of the structures without any explanations at all. This is the case and yet the Public Works Officer has already issued the certificate. view
  • 19 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, in stating what he intends to do to reduce the rampant insecurity in Ololunga, the Assistant Minister has said that he will increase patrols, among other things. Similar incidences have arisen in Rongai and the police do not have vehicles and at times, they do not have fuel. What is he doing to ensure that there are enough vehicles to enable the police to conduct the patrols that he is talking about? This is an issue that we have raised several times. view
  • 19 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Speaker, Sir. You have heard the Assistant Minister say that they are waiting to promote some officers to post them but it is five years down the road. Some districts that were created later on have already received personnel including the OCPDs and DCs. Could the Assistant Minister tell us why he has not posted officers to Narok South District? view
  • 19 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Minister of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security has said that the minutes of the security meetings are being vetted and they will be given to the ICC team. I would like to request him to tell the House what security risks are involved in giving out the minutes as they are to the ICC. Could he tell us what risks the Ministry of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security would run into if the security meetings minutes were given out the way they are? view
  • 6 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, can the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Local Government confirm to us how much funds have been made available now that he is sure that we are going to face La Nina not too far from now, so that we can buy all the available grain? There is going to be enough grain stock just before the end of the year. view
  • 6 Oct 2010 in National Assembly: Secondly, could he also tell us what he is doing to ensure that there will be enough energy supply even after the La Nina phenomenon, particularly from the geothermal sources? view
  • 1 Sep 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I would like to congratulate the Assistant Minister although he has not come out clearly as to when the design is going to be complete. Could he inform us when we expect to see the actual design and when it will be implemented? view
