This is a Summit that normally brings women together to assess their progress in terms of leadership positions in the political arena. From the outset, I used to say that the women political leadership in this case whether there is presence or absence, is affected by discrimination when it comes to recruitment and selection into the job market. First, Part II of this Bill provides for the establishment of the County Statistics Office which will work together with the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) that has been the main custodian of statistics in this country.
