  • 11 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: I am well informed of what is happening in my constituency and I understand what I am talking about! Right now, those troops are there harassing my people. I request the Government to ask the Ethiopian troops to leave Wajir North immediately! This is a sovereign State and Wajir North should be granted protection by the Government. view
  • 11 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I need Wajir North constituents to be left alone in peace so that they can continue with their daily work. I am happy that the Minister has attempted to give a good Ministerial Statement. I hope it will be practical and implemented. It should not just end with words. view
  • 10 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: On a point of Order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. We just know Kenya Power and Lighting Company will disconnect power immediately if you do not pay for it. So, we do not want to wait for them to answer our Questions on another day; we just want to deal with them the way they deal with us. view
  • 10 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, what is the use of registering such dispensaries when this Ministry cannot even provide the cheapest drug such as Panadol, leave alone posting a nurse? view
  • 10 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, thank you once again. I consider dispensaries; not just buildings. They should have nurses and drugs. I have more than nine dispensaries in my constituency and district which do not have a single nurse or panadol. Just registering buildings and calling them dispensaries does not add any value. Could the Assistant Minister explain to us why he is registering new dispensaries while they are not stocked? view
  • 4 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has just confirmed that the food could not reach those areas because of transport problems. Is he aware the Ministry is not paying the transporters in time, and that is why food cannot reach those schools? What is he doing about this? view
  • 4 Mar 2010 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has not yet answered the question. How much funds have been set aside in the last fiscal years? That is a simple question. We need an answer from the Assistant Minister. view
  • 9 Dec 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has just confirmed to us that there is no known organized illegal group in the area. He, however, went ahead to say that there is an organized group that is collecting some illegal money, could he substantiate this? view
  • 12 Aug 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, a 78-year-old would not be herding cattle. Maybe she would be fishing. Secondly, the lady was shot at Archer’s Post, 30 kilometres away from where the animals were. Is he telling us that this lady was part of the group that shot at the police? Was she part of the banditry? That is very important for us. view
  • 30 Jul 2009 in National Assembly: Mr. Speaker, Sir, with the state of insecurity in northern Kenya, the police need serviceable vehicles. In Wajir North Constituency, which is also a District, the police cars do not even have tyres, leave alone any other thing. How are the view
