  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I want the Assistant Minister to be more candid and clear in his response. To date, how much has been spent on Chemususu Dam? How much has been allocated this year? From my findings as a constituent and as a Member of Parliament for Eldama Ravine, I am aware there is a go slow by the contractor because of lack of budgetary allocations. view
  • 15 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, it is still my last question. I am just making it better for the Assistant Minister. He has not indicated how much he has allocated to the project on the upper side of Chemususu. The projects under the upper view

  • 8 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. I would like the Assistant Minister to reconfirm the statement he has made that he collected less in terms of fuel levy in the last financial year compared, for example, to 2009/2010. This is because I cannot understand the logic. Under the 22 per cent, he gave us Kshs20 million in the last financial year and in the financial year before that, he gave us Kshs27 million. Can I, therefore, request that the relevant Committee to interrogate that subject matter because I truly believe that there must be a problem on fuel levy collection? That is my request. view
  • 1 Aug 2012 in National Assembly: On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir? Is it in order for the hon. Njuguna to refer to the Attorney-General as the new Attorney-General? He is the Attorney-General of Kenya. view
  • 28 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Thank you, Madam Temporary Deputy Chairlady. I want to thank my colleagues in the Budget Committee, and equally the team on the other side, the Executive, for the time we have put in today to arrive at this consensus. Of course, we all want to understand that there is the Executive, Parliament and the Judiciary. We are all independent arms of the Government. I hope you are going to allow us in the future to perform our duty of looking at the Budget. Also, you should be able to comply with the report of this House to the extent of ... view

  • 28 Jun 2012 in National Assembly: Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I am just rising on a point of order to request that we limit the time of every speaker to at least three minutes so that most of us can contribute. We have an interest in this matter and you can look at--- view
