  • 21 Jun 2023 in Senate: Madam Temporary Chairperson, I beg to move- THAT Clause 24 of the Bill be amended by inserting the following new subclauses immediately after subclause (1) — (1A) Notwithstanding subsection (1), a grower who is a registered member of a cooperative society or cotton association which is registered by a county government, shall be exempted from registration by that county government. (1B) Subsection (1A) shall apply to a grower on condition that the cooperative society or cotton association is registered in the same county as that which the grower is carrying out business.
